hoolio curates the best fitness videos on the internet into one accessible place, the shared screen technology then allows users to invite friends to join their workout adding a social aspect that had being previously missing from home workouts. The platform will also include original video content as well as fitness plans that will be personalised to meet the specific needs of hoolio users.
With both free and paid memberships, hoolio is accessible to everyone, but offers a premium experience similar to successful entertainment streaming services such as Netflix and Spotify. In addition to curated videos from the top fitness contributors on the web, hoolio will also provide original content including pop culture inspired video workouts created by leading personal trainers.
Initial collaborators include celebrity trainer Svava Sigbertsdottir whose current Viking Method regime is the latest fitness trend. She currently trains celebrities such as Suki Waterhouse and Nicole Scherzinger.
hoolio aims to change the experience of working out from home by making home workouts:
- Social. Don’t like working out alone? Users can work out with friends by inviting them to view the workout to the same video simultaneously
- Measurable. hoolio works with the latest technology from Apple including Apple Watch and Apple TV creating an integrated fitness system. Beginning with Apple Watch, users can sync their wearable devices with the platform and see their fitness metrics (heart rate, calories) live on their screen
- Curated. you get to find the video that you want to work out to depending on your fitness level, mood, time constraint.
