The RAFT Project

Radical Acceptance and Fearlessness Through mindfulness

In olden days when travelling on foot and traversing rivers and streams one would build small floating rafts from local vegetation, when the waterway was crossed the traveller would leave behind the raft for fellow travellers to benefit from and reuse. This is the ethos of the RAFT project to share beneficial experiences and techniques to improve the journey through life and its myriad experiences and obstacles.

Incorporating modern technology and word of mouth techniques for surviving and overcoming the obstacles of mental and physical health in the modern world will be taught and delivered.

Illness and disease are facts of life, non acceptance of these conditions leads to suffering through stress, anxiety and other behaviours such as addiction (work, alcohol, food, drugs) or escaping from the reality of the situation. Through a process of Radical Acceptance and Fearless naming we can awake from the suffering and lead a life of peace and contentment.

Through a program of mindfulness training delivered through mobile and web technology geared generally for overall health and well being, and particularly for a range of conditions (paranoia, self harm, suicidal thoughts etc) the skills of the user will be developed to enable less suffering and greater peace and promotion of experiencing the wakefulness of the present moment.

This project will develop over time and updates will be delivered here.
